Linda "Penny" Bucher

Linda "Penny" Bucher, 76, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 10, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents Maynard and Margaret Werking, her son Thomas Bucher, and a brother Richard "Dick" Werking.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Carl. They were married on March 25, 1961. Also surviving are her sons Robert Bucher of Columbus and John Bucher of Lima, daughter Sarah (Tim) Stidham of Lima, and grandchildren Cody Stidham, Casey Stidham and Colton Bucher.
Penny retired from Lima City Schools and was a terrific home cook who loved to collect and swap recipes. She printed a small cookbook of favorite recipes for family and friends. Her homemade breads and pies will be missed by many.
Penny was a longtime active member of First Evangelical and Reformed Church in Lima and helped provide many tasty church suppers. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Lima Manor for their wonderful care.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima.
A funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 11AM at First Evangelical and Reformed Church, Lima. Pastor Dave Balicki will officiate.
