Linda Sue Fanger, 82, of Lima, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at The Springs of Lima. She was born on November 3, 1941, in Lima to the late Richard and Lillian {Nelson} Zeller.
On June 23, 1962, she married John Fanger, who survives her in Lima. Linda graduated from Lima Senior High School in 1959. She later attended OSU Lima and received a Bachelors in Elementary Education. She worked at Westinghouse and First Federal Savings and Loan, and eventually retired from Shawnee Elementary School after 18 years. She was a quilter and loved going to sporting events, especially Ohio State Buckeyes and Shawnee Indians. She was a former member of the Rainbow Girls and a current member of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association and St. Charles Catholic Church, Lima.
She is survived by her husband, John; sons, John Fanger Jr. and Mark (Missy) Fanger; grandson, Mark Fanger Jr.; and sister-in-law, Carole Zeller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Zeller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024, at St. Charles Catholic Church, Lima. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. at the church.
