Linda Hackworth

Linda Hackworth, 82, passed away at 2:44 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at her home in Lima.

Linda was born on February 11, 1940 in Bowling Green, Ohio, to Wilber W. and Catherine (Corsaro) Eley.  On December 18, 1982 she married Rick Hackworth, who survives in Lima.

Linda was a retired registered nurse at Fremont Memorial Hospital and at Ohio State University Hospital.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Stephen (Christine) Beard and Corey (Chantel) Beard; daughter, Melissa (Mark) Sigrist; her first husband, Jerry Beard; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Glen (Elizabeth) Eley of Lima; and sister, Carole Haines of Columbus Grove.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Vincenta Hall-Eley; son, Allan Beard; brother, Charles D. Eley; and brother-in-law, Clifford Haines.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m.  Rev. Daniel Messner will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to charity of donor’s choice in her honor.
