Lloyd D. Grimm, 85 of Lima, Ohio died on Monday, February 28, 2011, at Wyngate Senior Living Center in Lima, Ohio.
Born Tuesday, January 19, 1926 in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ensign Grimm and the late Blanch Sutton Grimm. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Miller Grimm.

He served in the Army from 1944 until 1946. He was a Veteran of World War II.
Mr. Grimm was a 1944 Shawnee High school Graduate. He married Dorothy M. Miller on April 15, 1944, She preceded him in death on January 7, 2008. They had been married for 64 years. He served in General Patton's Army-32nd Tank Corp. He retired from East Ohio Gas Co. after 30 years. He was Past President of Ottawa Kiwanis Club and a former member of the Kiwanis Club of Lima, Ohio, Past President of Ottawa Chamber of Commerce, Past member of the Ottawa Public Affairs Board, Past member of Ottawa Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a member of Westside United Methodist Church Lima. He was a 32nd Degree Mason Valley of Toledo, where he was a member for 40 years; a member of American Legion; member of Lima Sabers Shooting Association; member of the zoning board for American Township and past Vice chairman; Life member of the NRA and DAV. Was named Economic Developer of the year in 1984 by the Ohio Development Association.
Surviving are sons, Dale (Pat) Grimm of Elida, OH, David (Nancy) Grimm of Elida, OH and Steve (Candy) Grimm of Elida, OH, sister, Patricia L. Brenneman of Bowling Green, OH.
He was predeceased by brother, Henry "Beryl" Grimm of Bluffton, OH, sister, W. Faye Grimm.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Westside United Methodist Church with the Rev. William Cronk officiating. Interment will be in Allentown Cemetery, Allentown, OH.
