Lois Huffman

LOIS ISABELLE HUFFMAN, 90, died at 11:35 p.m., June 6, 2005, at Lima Manor Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 12, 1915, in Willshire, to Walter and Golda K. Lomiller Avery, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 21, 1934, in Rockford, she married Roman E. Huffman, who died March 22, 1982. Mrs. Huffman attended St. Paul United Methodist Church, Elida. She was known as a wonderful baker, cook and homemaker. She loved her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren deeply, and in turn, they were devoted to her. Survivors include a daughter, Mary K. (Norman) Grigsby of Lima; a sister, Vilena Hower of New Haven, Ind.; three grandchildren, Cathi (Richard) Lloyd of St. John, Ind., Teresa Grigsby and Lisa (Phillip) Wurster, both of Sylvania; and seven great-grandchildren, Nicole, Christopher, Adam, Mary, Peter, Andrew and Jonathan. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Avery, Richard Avery and Joseph Avery; and an infant sister, Mildred Avery. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Elida. Pastor John M. Tsironis will officiate. Burial will be in Willshire Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 105 E.
