Lois Knous

Lois Ellen Knous, 84, died May 30, 2009, at The Ridge at Shawnee. She was born July 17, 1924, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Henry and Elsie Ruck Bierly, who preceded her in death. She married Arthur Knous, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Knous was a member and had been an honorary commander of Trinity Chapter 16 Order of Eastern Star for more than 25 years. She was a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem for more than 25 years and a member of the Order of Amaranth OES. She was preceded in death by two sons, Karl Knous and Michael Lee Greenwell; three sisters, Edith Tietyen, Norma Tietyen and Ruth Runge; and a brother-in-law, Floyd Wilt. Graveside services will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday in Salem Cemetery, Westminster. The Rev. Douglas E. Adams will officiate. There will be no visitation.
