"They are together again". Loren Lee Kilgore, 79, died at 12:45 p.m. February 2, 2008, at Lima Memorial Health System. He was born April 17, 1928, in American Township, Ohio to Lee and Ruth Roush Kilgore, who preceded him in death. On August 2, 1947, he married Marjorie L. ?Marge ? Niehaus, who preceded him in death on December 25, 2003. Mr. Kilgore was a truck driver for the Matlack Co., retiring in 1988. He was owner and operator of L.L. Kilgore Excavating and was also a farmer. He served in the Army during World War II and the Navy during the Korean War serving on the SS Princeton. He was a member of the Lima Community Church of the Nazarene and the Teamsters. He loved God, people and restoring cars. He always had projects. He loved to travel and visit flea markets looking for car parts. Survivors include four daughters, Connie (Will Knisely) Kilgore, of Lima, Ohio, Cindy Yahna, of Tallahassee, Florida, Dawn (Dean) Streit, of Wooster, Ohio, and Lisa Kilgore (Glenn) Fillhart, of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Betty Baber, of Lima, Ohio; six grandchildren, Amy (Doug) Brown, of Alger, Ohio, Angie (Ron) Siefker, of Lima, Ohio, Rob Gay, of Summerville, S.Carolina, Cassie Wiggs, of Columbus, Ohio, Lucas Wiggs, of Tallahassee, Florida, and Travis Fillhart, of Lima, Ohio; and five great-grandchildren, Heather Brown, Zachary Brown, Austin Siefker, Colton Siefker and Alexis Siefker. He was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Kilgore; and a sister, Dorothy Crosser. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lima Community Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Robert Ferrell will officiate. Burial will be in Cairo East Cemetery, Cairo, with a military honors service conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275.
