Loretta Johnson

Loretta Johnson, 53, died at 6:46 p.m. April 5, 2008, at Lima Memorial Health Systems. She was born December 2, 1954, in Lancaster, Ohio to George J. and Anna L. Hunter Bowen. Her father survives. Her mother preceded her in death. On September 14, 1991, she married Danny Lee Johnson Sr., who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mrs. Johnson had been a switchboard operator at Lima Memorial Health System, for 23 years. She was a member of ACCRC Radio Club and the McGuffey Gun Club. She was an avid CBer going by the handle of ?Sweet Sis.? She enjoyed camping and was very friendly. She never met a stranger. Survivors also include three stepsons, Danny Lee Johnson Jr., of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Mackanthony Johnson, of Indiana, and Anthony ?Andy? Bruns, of Spencerville, Ohio; a sister, Tina S. Bowen; 12 grandchildren, all of Lima, Ohio; three aunts; two nephews, Deverell ?D.J.? Flowers and Darius Stribling, both of Toledo, Ohio; and her best friend, Debbie Lucas. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Reba Jane. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerbert Darlington will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor?s choice.
