Louise F. Hunt died December 7, 2020 at Newcastle Place Highlands Health Center in Mequon, WI.
Born in 1927 in Dayton, Ohio she was the daughter of Leo and Frances Sonderman. Her father was a talented blacksmith, metal artist, and farmer and her mother was a hard working farm wife, excellent cook, baker, gardener and seamstress. Louise was the youngest of seven children. She and her mother maintained the farm for a time during World War II when her brothers and father were away in service to our country.
Louise received her RN certification from St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima, Ohio. It was during this time that she met her future husband, Michael Hunt. They were married in 1949 and they along with their three daughters, enjoyed a very long and happy marriage and family life.
Louise worked as a nurse in hospitals and doctor’s offices for 13 years. She continued her education with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Master’s degree in Guidance from The Ohio State University. Louise taught fifth grade for 12 years and ended her career as a Middle School Guidance Counselor until her retirement.
Louis was a life long learner. She loved to research many varied subjects and was an avid reader, gardener, exceptional seamstress and great cook.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers; 1 sister; a son-in-law, Martin; and her beloved husband, Mike. She is survived by daughters: Kathryn, Jane and Christina; two sons-in-law, Jordan and Paul; sister-in-law, Penny; two granddaughters: Bridget and Claire (Jeff); two great-grandchildren, Isaac James and Nina Mae; and many nieces and nephews.
