Louise E. Patton

Louise E. Patton, 86, passed away at 6:26 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at The Springs of Lima.  Louise was born on October 6, 1934, in Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, Canada, to the late Adolphe Joseph and Marie Mai (Roussell) Parent.

Louise worked for J.J. Newberry’s and then Sears, retiring after 36 years.  She was a lifelong member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society.  She was also a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and a volunteer for the Council on Aging, Baton Rouge and Lima Manor.  She enjoyed figure skating, dancing, traveling, and working in her yard.

She is survived by her sons, David (Christine) Shrider of Lima and Gary (Sherry Corrigan) Shrider of Canton, OH; five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and brother Albert (Yvonne Guerrette) Parent of Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, Canada.

The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.   The funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at St. Gerard Catholic Church.   Father Mike Sergi will officiate.  Entombment will be in Gethsemani Mausoleum, Lima, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Gerard Catholic Church.
