Lowell L. Lacy 79, died at 5:22 a.m. January 24, 2010, at VanCrest Health Care Center, Delphos, Ohio. He was born June 26, 1930, in Coldwater, Ohio to Ezra and Bessie Brown Lacy, who preceded him in death. On April 8, 1956, he married D. Jean Frail, who died September 12, 2008. Mr. Lacy had been a farmer and retired as a building inspector and supervisor from the State of Ohio, after 35 years. He was a member of Lima Community Church of the Nazarene. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War serving aboard the USS Sicily. He enjoyed antiques, cars, flea markets and gardening. He liked spending time with family and in Florida. Survivors include four sons, Jeff (Lesley) Lacy, of Columbus, Ohio, Bob (Mischelle) Lacy and Jim Lacy, both of Lima, Ohio, and Tom (Gena) Lacy, of Tennessee; two daughters, Karen (Kenny) Elwer, of Delphos, Ohio, and Jane (Steve) King, of Holland, Michigan; 10 grandchildren, Drew Lacy, Kyle Lacy, Kensey Lacy, Kellen Elwer, Jared Elwer, Kerry King, Neil King, Darryl Lacy, Joshua Lacy and Chauntel Lacy; a sister-in-law, Bettye Jo Frail, of Lima, Ohio; and a brother-in-law, Darrell Miller, of Celina, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Miller; and a brother, Carroll Lacy. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel Huckins will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Community Church of the Nazarene.
