Lucille F. Williams,
91, of Canal Winchester, Ohio died on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at 4:04 PM, at Winchester Place Nursing Home in Canal Winchester, Ohio.
Born Thursday, December 2, 1920 in Jackson Twp. Allen Co., Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Laurel C. Reams and the late Gladys M. (Hauenstein) Reams.
Lucille married Richard E. Williams on October 29, 1939. He preceded her in death in 1982. The both were residents of Allen County most of their lives, in Lafayette and then Lima. Lucille raised her family as a housewife and devoted caregiver to Richard during the final years of his live. She loved planting and tending to flowers and the lawn at her home. She also gave food and shelter to stray dogs and cats who wandered in over the years. She greatly enjoyed Friday night dinners-out and the Lincoln Park dances with now-deceased sister-in-laws Lida Reams, Pauline Reams, and niece Carol (Reams) Koogler. She was a 50 year member of the Ohio Order of Eastern Stars and a long-time member of the Westgate Neighborhood Association. She was formerly a member of the Lafayette Congregational Church in Lafayette, Ohio.
Surviving are: a two sons, Charles (Susan) Williams of Reynoldsburg, OH; and Gary (Patricia) Williams of Plainfield, IL; a grandson, Todd E. Williams of Illinois; and a brother, Morris (Mary) Reams of Elida, OH. Other surviving relatives include: brother-in-law, Gene Anspach; sister-in-law, Louise Williams and numerous nieces and nephews. Close friends: Joseph Link, Tracy Lykins and family; Ed and Brenda Wisner and family; Craig and Bonnie Goeske and Lyndsey; Mark and Carolyn Rogers; Willie Greene; and Fred and Debra Vobbe.
She was predeceased by: three brothers, Charles, Merle and Kenneth Reams; a sister, Betty (Reams) Anspach.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Pastor Charles Gordan officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
