Luther Edward Shrader, 93, passed away at 3:04 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at his home in Harrod, Ohio.

Luther was born on April 30, 1928, in Duhring, WV, to the late Luther B. and Lila C. (Arrington) Shrader.  On October 13, 1984 he married LaDonna (Sheppard) Shrader who preceded him in death on June 16, 2006.

Luther was a retired sheet metal worker.  He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and gardening. He loved his Martin birds. He was into photography and developing his own film.

He is survived by his companion of 10 years Elizabeth Wells, of Ottawa, OH, daughters, Lila (Butch) Pickrell of Delray Beach, FL and Elaine Elliott of Greenville, NC; son, Luther Edward “Eddie” Shrader Jr. of Kalida, OH; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister Elaine Farrington of Bluefield, WV.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his sister,
Erlene Snick.

There will be no public visitation or service.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH.
