Lynda McCoy

Lynda Kay McCoy, 78, passed away at 4:36 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Lima Memorial Health Center. 

Lynda was born on November 21, 1946, in Lima, Ohio to Thomas and Alice Hunt. On October 5, 1968, she married Thomas A. McCoy, who preceded her in death on September 14, 2012.

Lynda was the head of housekeeping at Lima Memorial Hospital. She loved gambling, reading, camping, and going to the ocean.

She is survived by her three children: Amy Sockrider, Denny Bowers, and Teresa Davis; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Tammy Bowers; sons-in-law, Larry Davis and Jack Sockrider; grandson, Terry Dotson III, and many extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
