Lynda Smith

Lynda K. Smith, 63, passed away at 4:58 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.  Lynda was born on April 13, 1959 in Lima, Ohio, to William and Dorothe (Hoeper) Mosier.

Lynda was a 1977 graduated of Lima Senior High, then went on to graduate from Rhodes State College in Lima.  She worked at Aldi in Lima for 13 years.  She loved crafts, playing games on her phone, and of course dearly loved her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her mother; daughters, Billie Jean Smith Stearns of Ottawa, and Jocelyn (Ty Watts) Smith of Lima; grandchildren Kaylie, Adyn, Damien, Desiree’, Jaleigh, Avereigh and Ayceton; and brother, Robert (Teresa) Mosier of Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her father; ex-husband, Earnest Nelson; sister, Pamela Hempker; nephew, Jamie Harnishfeger; maternal grandparents Harry & Rebecca Hoeper; and paternal grandparents, William & Clara Mosier.

Services for Lynda will be private family only.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
