M. Margene Coon
90, died at 1:06 PM on Monday, July 20, 2015, at Wyngate Senior Living Community in Lima, Ohio.
Margene was born on June 13, 1925, in Cloverdale, Ohio, to the late Leon Fout and Ruth (Dotson) Fout. On June 14, 1947, she married Donald Coon, he preceded her in death on December 16, 2002.
She attended 1-8 grades at Cloverdale Public School and 9-12 at Continental Public School and was in the graduation class of 1943. She loved crafting, flower arranging and had been a Girl Scout and Brownie Troop leader. She loved refinishing furniture and was a very good seamstress. Margene enjoyed taking something old and making it new again.
She is survived by : a daughter, Debbie (Steve) Armstrong, of Syracuse, UT; five grandchildren, Kim King, Greg Snider, Matthew Armstrong, Jacob Armstrong, Megan Nelson; nine great grandchildren, Alyssa Snider, Aubrey Snider, Alexis Armstrong, Destiny Armstrong, Harmony Henry, Lilly Armstrong, Evan Armstrong, Aubrey Nelson and Charlie Nelson.
She was preceded in death by: a daughter, Donna Snider and a sister, Juanita Verhoff.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
