M. Eunice Copus, 89 of Lima, Ohio died on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio.
Born Thursday, February 2, 1922 in Cairo, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harry Wright and the late Lois McCarty Wright. She was the wife of Clair Copus.
She married Clair Copus, her husband of over 70 years, on July 3, 1940, in Elida, Ohio, He survives. Formerly worked in the cafeteria for Lima City Schools. Volunteer at YWCA Corner Cupboard. She was a 59 year member Trinity United Methodist Church. Enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling and cooking and liked to go fishing with her husband. She loved her grandsons.
Surviving are sons, Gary C (Karen) Copus of Tuscon, AZ and David (Long time Companion, Carolyn) Copus of Pandora, OH, brother, Two Grandchildren, David Copus, Jr. of Germantown, MD. and Tracey (Kristi) Copus of Cridersville, Ohio one brother Roy (Marilyn) Wright of Elida, OH, two sisters, Betty Zurfluh of Lima, OH and Helen (Reid) White of Fort Wayne, IN.
She was predeceased by brother, Dewey Wright.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Rev. Phyllis Fetzer officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date, , .
