Mable F. Roberts

Mable F. Roberts, 85, passed away at 6:26 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.  Mable was born on September 15, 1935, in Colfax, Louisiana, to the late Ned and Susie (Harper) Harrison.

Mable worked as a hall monitor for the Toledo School System at Devilbiss High School, the Lucas County Corrections, and was a cafeteria cook for Heir Force Academy Day Care and Heir Force Community School where she retired at age 82. Mable who was fondly known as Mom Roberts, was a beautiful inviting soul and faithful woman of God. She was a member of True-Vine Missionary Baptist  in Toledo before serving along-side her beloved son, Pastor David Roberts at Cornerstone Harvest Church, and David Roberts Ministries. Mable took every opportunity to minster and serve whether praying, mentoring, cooking, or just being a friend to comfort and listen. She loved to serve people with some of her world famous dishes: greens, red beans and rice, banana pudding, sweet potato pie and of course Gumbo!

She is survived by her son, David (Jennifer) Roberts of Lima; grandchildren: Asher Roberts-Burns, Ryan Roberts, Andrew Roberts, Liana Rodriguez, Akira Mosley and Makiah Mosley; great-grandchild, Skylar; sister, Ora (Norman) Bell of Toledo, OH; brother, John (Barbara) Harrison of California, three special nephews, and numerous additional nieces and nephews. Her church family, adopted children and grandchildren are too many to number, but many received her as their very own ‘Mom’ and ‘Grandma’.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ned Jr. Harrison and Benny Harrison; sisters, Willie B. Cook and Maxine Stanfield.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Pastor David Roberts will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to David Roberts Ministries.
