MADALINE VIRGINIA "GINNY" BAQUE, 90, died at 2:30 a.m. April 17, 2006, at her residence. She was born March 8, 1916, in Franklin, Pennsylvania, to William Ross and Ida Mae Covell Sherman, who preceded her in death. On June 26, 1937, she married George E. Baque, and he died January 26, 1965. Mrs. Baque was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54 Auxiliary and the Eastern Star Trinity Chapter 16. She retired with more than 29 years of service at St. Rita's Hospital. After retirement, she continued to work for Medi Lab and Hospice. She also worked at the Lima Steel Foundry as a metallurgist during World War II. She had a zest for living and a love of life that was reflected in her career and her love for all living things. Her life was a life of service, always helping others. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all. Survivors include three daughters, Donna Mae (Barry L.) Tucker of Lima, Ohio, Nancy Kay (Stuart P.) Holden of Marcellus, New York, and Bonnie Lou (Raymond E.) Richmond of Alexandria, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren, Heather, George, Nathan, Ian, Rachel, Andrew, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Sarah, Timothy, Virginia and Christine; and four great-grandchildren, Nicole, Koneta, Atticus and Madeline. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Tina Dietsch will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery, Lima, Ohio. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
