Madeline Zeits

MADELINE ZEITS, 90, died at 3:35 p.m. December 12, 2006, at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton, Ohio. She was born October 15, 1916, in Bluffton, Ohio, to Ephrain and Jennie Painter Geiger, who preceded him in death. On June 11, 1938, she married William K. Zeits, who died May 16, 1984. Mrs. Zeits was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida, fishing and playing cards. Survivors include eight nephews, Willard Downing, of Findlay, Ohio, Michael Baumgartner, of Columbus Grove, Ohio, Bernard Baumgartner, of Pandora, Ohio, Kenneth Horner, of Toledo, Ohio, Donivan Simon, of Ada, Ohio, Gary Simon, of Ada, Ohio, Bob Harris, of Florida, and Larry Zickafoose, of Dunkirk, Ohio; eight nieces, Frances Adams, of Ottawa, Ohio, Vera Owen, of Marysville, Ohio, Karen Bronson, of Celina, Ohio, Diane Snay, of Columbus Grove, Ohio, Sandra Poland, of Arizona, Janet Fahl, of Findlay, Ohio, Margo Bayers, of Utah, and Georgia Lena Peters, of South Carolina; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Francis Geiger; six sisters, Metta Downing, Carrie Horner, Viola Baumgartner, Margaret Carmean, Florence Garlish, and Dorothy Simond; two half brothers, George and Harry Cone; a half sister, Luella Grace Tenney; three nephews, Richard Cherry, Ronald Baum-gartner and Fred Horner; and two nieces, Ethel Moser and Virginia Grager. Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Rockport Cemetery, Rockport, Ohio. There will be a graveside committal of ashes. Pastor Michael Downey will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beaverdam Fire Department and Rescue, or Bluffton Mennonite Home Health.
