Mae Avenell Cooper- Gaskill, 82 of Lima, Ohio died on Sunday, October 9, 2011, at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio.
Born Friday, April 19, 1929 in Scioto County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Jonas Cooper and the late Emma Mays Cooper.
Mae married Frank Gaskill on December 22, 1972, he survives in Lima. She was a member of the Bluelick Bible Church.
Surviving are: son, Harry C. Crisp of Lima, OH; and two daughters, Sharon (Bruce) Johnson of Montgomery, TX; Rita (Steven) Williams of Clarksville, TN. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, Stephen Liming, Christopher Liming, Daniel Johnson, William Poston, Yvonne Poston, Jeffrey Poston, Tonya (David) Scharff, Sonya Williams, Deanna (Chad) Ashbaugh, Patty (Brian) Heaton and Brandon Crisp, twenty-five great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, and Friday October 14, 2011 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lafferty Funeral Home, 205 S. Cherry St., West Union, Ohio, 45693 and one hour prior to services at the church. The funeral will be on Saturday, October 15, 2011, 1 P.M. at the Sunshine Ridge Church and the interment will be in the Sunshine Ridge Cemetery, near Portsmouth, Ohio.
Pastor John Ridout will officiate.
