M. Jane Ketchum

Marcella “Jane” Ketchum, 75, left her earthly body for her forever home at 5:32 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s in Lima, after a brief illness. 

Jane was born on August 28, 1949, in Lima, Ohio, to John and Thelma (Dysert) Pratt who preceded her in death. On April 26, 1969, she married Michael Kenneth Ketchum, who survives in Lima.

She was the mother of Angela (Tony) Gravette and Don (Staci) Ketchum; and grandmother of Nichole (Doug Garrett) Gravette, Derek (Kelsey) Ketchum, Bret (Ariel) Ketchum, Nathan Ketchum. She had four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dawain (Judy) Pratt and Kenneth Pratt. She is survived by her brother Merle (Lee Ann) Pratt.

Jane’s greatest joy was her family, and she was especially proud of her grandchildren. To know Jane was to love her, and there is no doubt that she has earned her wings.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Terry Davy will officiate. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled Veterans.
