Marcella Sexton

Marcella K. Sexton 64, died at 4:15 p.m. Aug. 19, 2009, at Lima Memorial Health System. She was born Jan. 19, 1945 in Lima to Ernest and Twila Hartman Dankirt, who preceded her in death. She married William F. ?Bill? Sexton, who died Oct. 11, 1997. Mrs. Sexton was a member of Elderly Day Care. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her stepmother, Gwen Dankirt, of Lima; two sons, Joseph (Missy) Sexton Sr., of Lima, and Joe Burris, of Aurora, Ind.; a daughter, Tammy (Terry) Short, of Lima; and a brother, five sisters, six grandchildren, a greatgrandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Sexton Jr.; and a sister, Linda Green. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Russell Manns will officiate. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor?s choice.
