Marcella Souders

MARCELLA B. SOUDERS, 98, died at 8:25 a.m. May 5, 2007, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home. She was born November 9, 1908, in Lima, Ohio to John H. and Agnes Townsend Curry, who preceded her in death. On November 8, 1930, she married Floyd E. Souders, who died September 20, 1939. Mrs. Souders retired in 1971, as an office manager from Neon Products Inc., after 38 years. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Rita's Guild and Soroptimist International, where she had served as president. She was a 1925 graduate of St. John's High School. Survivors include a son, John Curry Souders, of Dublin, Ohio; four granddaughters, Jeannie (Steve) Hengehold and Beth (David) Hart, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Linda (Stefan Engst) Souders and Molly Souders, both of San Francisco, California; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David Williams Souders; three sisters, Mary (Raymond) Fontaine, Ellen (Charles) Riepenhoff and Roseann (Chester) Lehning; and two brothers, John Curry and Charles Curry. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Steve Blum will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
