Margaret L. "Peg" Crow

Margaret L. "Peg" Crow,
85, passed away at 4:22 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Peg was born on Monday, January 26, 1931, in Lima, to the late Emerson and Margaret (Stockler) Staup. On Tuesday, December 27, 1949, she married Charles Harold Crow, who survives in Lima.
Peg was the oldest of twelve children. She was a 1948 graduate of Central High School. For many years she worked at JC Penney's as a seamstress. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church where she volunteered at their grade school. She was the bulletin editor for Northwest Ohio Pond Society. Peg and her husband collected rocks and minerals and were founding members of West Central Ohio Rock and Mineral Club. They traveled and spent time in most Provinces of Canada and all fifty states. She enjoyed crafts and served as a Cub Scout Den Mother for several years. She was a also a member of a Women's Bible Study group.
She is survived by: four sons, Phillip Crow, Cridersville, Kevin (Glenda) Crow, Athens, GA, Paul (Patty) Crow, Lima and Jim (Caren) Crow, Bluffton; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; four brothers, John (Joan) Staup, Folsom, CA, Bob (Carolyn) Staup, Chiloquim, OR, Mike (Jan) Staup, Toledo and Bill Staup, Lima; three sisters, Carol Ann (Larry) Shaw, LaGrange, OH, Kay (Joe) Ansley, Lima, and Susie (Bob) Lutz, Lima.
She is preceded in death by: daughter, Mary Newland; brothers, Emerson "Bud" Staup, Carl Staup, Tom Staup and Tim Staup.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, March 20, 2016 followed by a Parish Wake Service at 8 PM at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 AM on Monday, March 21, 2016 at St. Rose Catholic Church. Father David Ross will officiate. Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose Catholic Church Capital Campaign.
