Margaret Goedde

MARGARET M. GOEDDE, 93, died at 4:15 a.m. October 13, 2006. She was born May 14, 1913, in Lima, Ohio to Herman and Nellie Mae Johnson Porter, who preceded her in death. She married Eugene R. Goedde in 1934, who died December 5, 1980. Mrs. Goedde was a member of the South Side Christian Church and the Mary Martha Class. She had worked at Sears in the catalog department. Survivors include a son, Robert (Diane) Goedde of Lima, Ohio; two daughters, Jean (Leonard) Volbert of Amherst, Ohio and Joan (Neil) Shaw of Lima, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Shannda Jeknaborien, Tiffany (Tom) Snurr, Dennis Shaw, Sidney Shaw, Kathleen (Greg) Lawrence, Susan Hoehn, and Brian (Teri) Volbert; and 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Howard Porter, Elroy Porter, Sidney Porter and Charles Porter; a half-sister, Hazel Garver; two grandchildren, Kevin and Debbie Volbert; and a great-grandchild, Garrett Shaw. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglass Adams and Wanda Werking will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima, Ohio.
