Margaret Ann ?Maggie? Metzger, 52, died at 4:30 a.m. May 20, 2009, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. She was born October 9, 1956, in Mount Clemens, Michigan, to Frank and Betty Aikens King, who preceded her in death. Her stepmother lives in Troy, Michigan. In October 1986, she married William Metzger, who died March 18, 2001. Mrs. Metzger was owner and operator of the Rose Shoppe for several years. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 Auxiliary. She was affectionately known as ?Maggie.? She was a loving mother and friend to all, who was loved and will be greatly missed by all. She served the community for several years. Survivors also include a son, William H. ?Bud? Metzger, of Lima, Ohio; a stepson, Ronald (Betsy) Coelho, of Lima, Ohio; two sisters, Rose (Oscar) Grando, of Dallas, TX, and Marie (Patrick) Yaklin, of Richmond, Michigan; seven brothers, John (Gail) King, of Armada, Michigan, James (Cyndi) King, of Capac, Michigan, William (Anna) King, of Algonac, Michigan, Leo King, of Almont, Michigan, Thomas (Jacque) King, of Imlay City, Michigan, Fred King, of Algonac, Michigan, and Paul (Cheryl) King, of Clinton Township, Michigan; three grandchildren, Emily Coelho, Lydia Coelho and Rachel Coelho, all of Lima, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Bette Frysinger, of Lima, Ohio, and Norma Wannemacher, of Ottoville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Lee Thomas and Robert John Metzger; three sisters-in-law, Rosario ?Chayo? King, Helen Miller and Mary Pohlman; and a brother-in-law, Henry Metzger. Services will begin at 7 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Nichols and Father David Ross will officiate. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of services today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor?s choice.
