Margaret "Peggy" Celeste Handshoe

Margaret Celeste “Peggy” Handshoe,  63, passed away at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, October 24,  2018, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Peggy was born on Thursday, December 9, 1954  in Lima, Ohio to the late Joseph Patrick & Patricia (Stokes) Needham.

Peggy was a cook and server at the Eagles in Wapak as well as VFW #1275.  She enjoyed writing poetry, reading and music.  She loved her family and spending time at family gatherings.

She is survived by her significant other of 33 years, Ronald Mitchell of Wapakoneta, OH, sons, Joe Thomas of Lima, Mike (Kim) Handshoe of Winston-Salem, NC,  Todd Handshoe of Winston-Salem, NC, grandchildren Casey, Chase, Ashley, Karly, Mason, Gracie, two great-grandchildren, and brother James L. (Virginia) Needham of Lima.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael Thomas Needham.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.  Rev. Eldon Hartman will be officiating.
