Marie Rolfes

MARIE EDITH ROLFES, 100, died at 9:25 a.m. July 29, 2005, at Springview Manor Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 9, 1904, in Delphos to Edward and Theresa Hemme Desch, who preceded her in death. In 1923, she married Carl Rolfes, who died in 1972. Mrs. Rolfes was a homemaker, and had worked at the Box Factory. She was the last member of the Lima Locomotive Works Electricians Wives Club. She had attended Lima Baptist Temple. Survivors include two daughters, Marceen Frymyer and Patricia (William) Nichols, both of Lima; five grandchildren, Rick Frymyer, Michelle Musser, William E. Nichols Jr., Doris Anne Freeman and Kyle Rolfes; and eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Rolfes; a brother, Robert Desch; and a sister, Letha Irwin. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Hohman will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
