Marilyn Nancy Horvath, 87, passed away at 7:06 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at The Meadows of Kalida.
Marilyn was born on September 20, 1937, in Lima, Ohio, to Donald & Daisy (Cockerel) Hahn. On March 10, 1951, she married Steve Horvath, who preceded her in death on January 24, 2009.
Marilyn retired from Bluffton Hospital where she had worked in Billing/Admissions. She had also worked at Meadow Gold Dairy. Marilyn was a member of Sugar Creek Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed crafting, playing Bingo, and traveling.
She is survived by daughters: Marilyn Kay Horvath, Beverly (Terry) Nordby, and Joyce (Dave) Kuehl; grandchildren: Nancy (Asa) Mortimer, Jonathon Colson, Rochelle (Billy) King, Jennifer Colson, and Joe Foust; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Esther Harshbarger.
In addition to husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Siefker; grandson, Craig Foust; and siblings: Viola Hyndman, Bud Hyndman, Maxine Kaser, Donald Hahn, Eileen Jarrel, and Anna Roessler.
The family will have a private service at the funeral home. Extended family and close friends are welcome to join them for a graveside service on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Spencerville Cemetery beginning at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Jon Spyker will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deb’s Dogs.
