Marilyn Ann King, 92, of Lima, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 8:50 p.m. at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 11, 1926 in Lima, Ohio to the late Edward J. and Bernice E. Ward. On November 8, 1947, she married William C. King Jr., who preceded her in death on February 25, 1981.
She was a Lima Central High graduate. Marilyn helped her husband, Bill, manage the B & B Credit Union for Ford Employees. She was a former member of Peace Lutheran Church. She was a life member of Lima Memorial Auxiliary Volunteers. She loved to travel and has been to all 50 states, 14 countries, all of Canada, Central America, and South Pacific. She was highly devoted and intensely proud of her hometown, Lima, Ohio.
She is survived by her son Stephen T. (Andrea) King of West Liberty, OH, grandson William L. King of West Liberty, OH, siblings John D. Ward of Lima, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev Todd Cosart will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH.
