Marilyn Risner

Marilyn ?Marie? Risner 72, died at 9:30 a.m. January 23, 2008, at Lima Manor Nursing Home. She was born October 11, 1935, in Idaho to Lawrence and Dorothy Oatman Nichols, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Risner had been a nurse?s aide. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and swimming at the YWCA with ?the girls.? Survivors include three children, Linda (Steve) Boop, of Harrod, Ohio, David (Debra) Risner, of Shawnee, and Cathy (Kevin) Tierney, of Lima, Ohio; a brother, William Nichols, of Florida; a sister, Betty Burkholder, of Lima, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Steve (Christy) Boop Jr., Jodi (Darrin) Lanasky, Stephanie Risner, David Risner Jr., Kristi (Timothy) Eberle, Matthew (Julie) Tierney, Tara (Michael) Biscardi, Melissa Risner, Heather Risner and Robert Risner; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John Risner. Services will begin at 6 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor James Neighbors will officiate. A private burial of the cremains will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the YWCA, 649 W.
