Marjorie A. Baxter,
Marjorie Miller Baxter, 104, passed away at her home on August 24, 2017.
Marjorie was born in Allen County, Ohio on May 14, 1913 to Santford Miller and Charity Barrett Miller. She married Woodrow Baxter on June 18, 1939. He preceded her in death in 1976.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Ardath (David) Sunderland of Elida, and Marcia (Peter) Baxter Magolda of Elliston, Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was a 1930 graduate of Elida High School. She was a local church organist and musician. She began playing at Zion Methodist Church when she was thirteen. Marjorie also played at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Elida, Trinity Lutheran Church in Elida, and First Church of Christ, Scientist. She managed Groman's Music Store in Lima for 43 years.
Marjorie was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters-in-laws, Bob & Flossie Miller, Dale Miller, Nile & Mel Miller and Foster & Ruth Miller and two sisters and brothers-in-laws, Cleo & Lloyd Strayer and Norma & Dick Tomlinson.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 2 to 6 P.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima and on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 1 to 2 P.M.

A funeral service will begin at 2 P.M. on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, Ohio. Rev. Katie Erickson will officiate.
