Marjorie R. Bercaw, 85, died at 3:50 p.m. July 13, 2008, at The Ridge at Shawnee. She was born June 15, 1923, in Lima to Wilbur L. and Louise C. Koch Hasting, who preceded her in death. She married M. Gerald Van Schoyc, who died in 1946. She then married Walter W. Bercaw, who died in March 1997. Mrs. Bercaw at the hospitality shop at Lima Memorial Health System and at the coffee shop at St. Rita's Medical Center. She liked to read, work crossword puzzles and travel to Myrtle Beach, S.C. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy McKinley, of Lima; a son, Daniel J. (Crystal) Bercaw, of Lima; four grandchildren, Brian (Jessica) McKinley, of Lima, Curtis (Judy) McKinley, of Defiance, and Alexandria Bercaw and Reagan Bercaw, both of Lima; five great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Bonnie Blaine, of Elida, Dorothy Hartge and Ann Hasting, both of Lima, and Jean Ellis, of Wapakoneta; two brothers-in-law, Eugene (Alice) Bercaw, of Lima, and Donald (Dorothy) Bercaw, of Florida; and several niece and nephews. She was proceeded in death by three brothers, Robert, Thomas and Bill Hasting; and four sisters, Barbara Stauffer, Genevia Frazee, Patricia Hasting and Mary Louise Hasting. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Charlotte Hefner will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
