MARK ALLEN CLUM, 61, died at 11:45 p.m. March 1, 2006, at his residence. He was born Feb. 12, 1945, in Lima to James and Frances Everett Clum. His mother survives in Ada. His father preceded him in death. On July 5, 1991, in Lima, he married Nancy M. Reed, who survives. Mr. Clum retired as an inspector for the Ford Motor Co. Lima Engine Plant. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lafayette, the National Rifle Association, the Hog Creek Game Club, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1533, and the United Auto Workers Local 1219. He served in the Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was a 1963 graduate of Lafayette-Jackson High School. He was an avid bass fisherman and hunter, and he enjoyed trap shooting and skeet. Survivors also include a son, Jason Clum of Lima; two stepdaughters, Angela Evans of Lima, and Amy (Bryant) Harner of St. Marys; four brothers, Hugh (Kay) Clum of Pueblo West, Colo., and Keith (Rachel) Clum, Bruce Clum and Paul Clum, all of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Brady Evans, Cassandra Evans, Ashley Burd, Alyssa Burd and Alexandra Harner; two sisters-in-law, Kathy (Don) Krouskop of Lafayette, and Diane Grimes of Reynoldsburg; and his father- and mother-in-law, William and Ruth Reed of Lafayette. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Harrod will officiate. Burial will be in Lafayette Cemetery, with military rites by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
