Mark D. Settlage, 64, of Lima, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Toledo Hospital. He was born on May 26, 1957 in Kenton to Richard and Joanne {Derr} Settlage. His mother survives.
Mark worked as a technician for Proctor and Gamble and retired in 2016 after 32 years. He and his longtime partner Vicki, spent many years camping at Indian Lake, enjoying campfires, friends and family and time on the lake. Mark and Vicki restored vintage campers and enjoyed traveling to different places, meeting new friends and seeing different places. Their dog Millie was a constant companion. He recently renewed his love of riding motorcycles. He was a long time HAM radio operator and was frequently found tinkering in the garage.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son: Daniel (Kelly) Settlage, daughter: Kimberly (Kess) Reichley, his partner: Vicki Vaden and her children: Nicole Butler, Lindsay Vaden, and Mallory (Mike) Elling, grandchildren: Cami, Allie, Owen, Hazel, Cassidy, Kylea, Matthew, Michael, Sophia, and Norah, 5 great-grandchildren, and brother: David Settlage.
His family will receive friends on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the funeral home. Pastor William Stenke will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
