She was born May 22, 1934 in Allen County, the daughter of Foster B. and Ruth b. Carr Miller who are deceased. On July 27th, 1952 she married Robert E. Edwards, who died May 3, 2006. She was a former Elida Fire and Rescue Squad volunteer. In 1952 she graduated from Elida High School. In her earlier years after high school and raising her children, she participated in women's fast pitch softball for Otis Jewelers who were State Champions. She also studied judo under Sensie Oscar Adams at the old YMCA in Lima.

She loved gospel and blues music and loved to sing. She also enjoyed walking on the snow white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico at Siesta Key, Florida and watching the sun set over the ocean.

In her later years, she was a caregiver for her father and invalid mother until their deaths and also a caregiver for her husband until his passing. Her greatest joys were watching her children and grandchildren playing sports and other activities.

She is survived by 5 children, Kim (Kelly) Edwards of Tallahassee, Florida, Teri (Dave) Hobbs of Lima, Kelly (Patty) Edwards of Cridersville, Ohio, Kyle (Char) Edwards of Elida, and Kory Edwards of Lima, a sister-in-law Jeanette Miller of Cincinnati, Ohio; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her brother Jan G. Miller of Ft. Myers, Florida, formerly from Lima and her brother Max Miller of Cincinnati.
