MARSHALL L. RIEFF, 78, died at 2:45 p.m. April 21, 2005, at his residence. He was born August 12, 1926, in Lima to Edgar and Gertrude Wade Reiff, who preceded him in death. On August 12, 1944, he married Margie Romey, who survives in Lima. Mr. Reiff retired in 1986 from Sohio/BP. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275, American Legion Post 96, and the Quarter Century Club at BP. He was a 1944 graduate of Liam South High School. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II serving from November 2, 1944, to April 1, 1946. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an outstanding caregiver to his loving wife. Survivors also include two sons, Mike (Dorothy) Reiff of Springfield, MO., and Terry (Kathie) Reiff of Rockford, Ohio; a daughter, Judy Cheney of Lima, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Reiff of Lima, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Melissa (Josh) Gandy, Christopher (Mary) Reiff, Shawn (Angie) Cheney, Charisse (Eric) Bench, Heather (Ray) Triplett, Brandon Cheney, Casey Reiff and Megan Reiff, five great-grandchildren, Devan Reiff, Michael Reiff, Madison Bench, Gracie Gandy and Baustin Cheney. He was preceded in death by a brother, Don Reiff. Services will begin at 10:30 A.M. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Adams and Wanda Werking will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
