Martha Kuhlman,83, of Lima, Ohio died at 11:07 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Kobacker House Hospice in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Kuhlman was born on August 16, 1929 in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of the late Alvin Garlock and the late Lenore [Brice] Garlock. On October 6, 1954, she married A. C. Kuhlman, who died April 7, 2011.
Mrs. Kuhlman was a very devoted mother and loved spending time with her grandchildren as well as with her nieces and nephews. She worked at Pangles Master Markets, Harts Jewelry, and Tower Bank/Bank One. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church, its Altar Rosary Society and its Theresian of America Society. She enjoyed reading and decorating for numerous family and friends weddings.
Surviving are four sons, Mark (Cheri) Kuhlman, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Karl (Michelle) Kuhlman, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Tim (Jean) Kuhlman, of Petoskey, Michigan, and Mike (Denise) Kuhlman, of Dublin, Ohio; one daughter, Susan (Dave) Myers of West Palm Beach, Florida; twelve grandchildren, Michael McCreight, of Nashville, Tennessee, Matthew Kuhlman, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Meghan Kuhlman, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Josh Kuhlman, of Petoskey, Michigan, Jessica Kuhlman, of Petoskey, Michigan, Kellie Kuhlman, of Dublin, Ohio, Jack Kuhlman, of Dublin, Ohio, Luke Kuhlman, of Dublin, Ohio, Lisa Kuhlman, of Dublin, Ohio, Autumn Hoyler, of Inwood, West Virginia, Jennie Greene, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Chuck Myers, of Warner Robbins, Georgia; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Kate (Richard) Dilts of Portsmouth, Ohio; and seven sisters-in-law, Barb Garlock, of Lima, Ohio, Pat Garlock, of Lima, Ohio, Carolyn Garlock, of Findlay, Ohio, Jeanette Garlock, of Salter Path, North Carolina, Helen Kuhlman, of Ottawa, Ohio, Thelma Kuhlman, of Leipsic, Ohio, and Dolores Kuhlman, of Ottawa, Ohio.
She was predeceased by six brothers, Alvin "Bud" Garlock, Tom Garlock, Joseph E. Garlock, Jay Garlock, Mark Garlock and Karl Garlock; and four sisters, Sister Beatrice Ann Garlock, June Garlock Brinsfield, Margie Garlock Mox and Sister Maria "Beth" Garlock; a grandson, Greg McCreight; five sisters-in-law, Marcella Lehman, Ester Lammers, Elizabeth "Betty" Nuveman, Mary Niese, and Rose Warniment; and seven brothers-in-law Cyril Kuhlman, Wilfred Kuhlman, Norbert Kuhlman, Ralph Kuhlman, Thomas Kuhlman, Ambrose Kuhlman, and John Kuhlman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 24, 2012, at St. Gerard Catholic Church in Lima, Ohio with Father David M. Ross, officiating. Graveside Services and interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2012 and a parish wake service will be held at 8:00 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
