Martin E. "Marty" Schumaker,
60, died at 8:45 AM on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at his sister's home in Elida, surrounded by his family.

Martin was born on November 25, 1953 in Lima, OH. to Margaret L. Moore Schumaker and the late Eugene T. "Gene" Schumaker Sr.

Marty graduated from Lima Senior High in 1972. He attended the Lima Community Church of the Nazarene. He was an avid car lover who owned and operated Schumaker's Auto Body, where he was known for his custom body work and murals.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Celia (James McVicker) Conner of Lima who brought great joy to his life; three wonderful grandchildren Hannah, Haelyn and Halea McVicker, who always made him smile; three brothers: Eugene T. "Skip" (Diane) Schumaker, Joe Schumaker, and Jay Schumaker all of Lima, OH; three sisters: Kathy (Mike) Hanes of Rogersville, Tenn., Krista (Mark) Nusbaum, of Elida, OH, and Shelly (Gary Zynda) Schumaker, of Ottawa, OH; nieces and nephews: Dawn Gillespie, Brooke Sauer, Carlyn Howard, Shalyn Dotson, Colt Schumaker, Nicholas and Louis Schumaker and nine great nieces and nephews that he loved to watch play, and an extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded him in death were grandparents Wilta and Earl Moore along with Herbert and Alice Schumaker.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, November 3, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.Also visitation on November 4th from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. before the service.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Doug Boquist will officiate.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
