Marvin Edward Long

Marvin Edward Long, 74, passed away on September 11, 2023, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s.

Marvin was born on October 16, 1948, in Lima, Ohio to George Oliver and Clara Mae (Oliver) Long.

Marvin enjoyed playing Bingo and coloring while living at VanCrest of Delphos.

He is survived by his daughters, Katina Marie Coleman and Barbara Ann Gehl; siblings, Lawrence (Beverly) Long, Doris (Mike) Boedicker, Juanita Myers and Martha Neinas; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Libby” Long; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Harvey Long, Gerald Long, and Albert Long; and a brother-in-law, Clyde Neinas.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023. Pastors Alvin King and Eugene Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Ash Grove Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donor’s Choice.
