87 of Louisville, Kentucky died on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at 5:50 P.M.at Christopher East Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
Born Sunday, August 30, 1925 in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Guy Baxter and the late Esther (Sandy) Baxter.
She was employed by Acme Office Machines & Furniture.
She married Donald J. Bowers on July 26, 1947. He survives in Louisville, KY. She was a lifetime member of the Bethel Christian Church, Elida, Ohio, and a
member of the First Baptist Church, 1872 Main St., Middletown, KY
Surviving are: a son, William R. (Sharon A.) Bowers of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, Eric R. Bowers of Columbus, Ohio, Cristopher D. Bowers of Louisville, KY, and Jenna R. Bowers of Louisville, KY; three great grandchildren, Dont'e, David And Daniel; a sister, Martha E. (Charles) Weaver of Pinehurst, NC; sister-in-law Alice (Elmer) Davis of Cumming, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Baxter, and a sister, Phyllis J. Pickering.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Wood officiating
Memorial Contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church, in Middletown, Kentucky.
