Mary L. ?Louise? Conley, 88, died at 6:05 a.m. Nov. 11, 2009, at Baton Rouge Senior Health Services Community. She was born May 15, 1921, in Charlotte, N.C., to William M. and Mary Schmidt Hannon, who preceded her in death. On June 23, 1945, at Camp Edwards, Mass., she married Henry J. Conley, who died Jan. 5, 2000. Mrs. Conley was a Women?s Army Corps veteran of World War II. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Rose Home and School Association and a longtime volunteer in the St. Rose cafeteria. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Tune Dusters Quartet and the Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed music and gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Thomas (Roberta) Conley, of Westerville, and John (Patty) Conley, of Lima; two daughters, Nancy (Ken) Bailey and Jan (Frank) Terry, both of Lima; six grandchildren, Julie Graden, Lynne Lammers, Jackie Conley, Ken Terry, Dan Terry and Ryan Terry; two great-grandchildren, Keegan Lammers and Kassidy Lammers; and a sister, Janet (Robert) Herron, of Charlotte, N.C. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Bailey; two brothers, Hobart and William Hannon; and a sister, Anna Neal. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose Catholic Church. Father David M. Ross will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose School.
