MARY E. CASEY COPE, 76, died at 2:48 a.m. October 7, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born May 28, 1929, in Allen County, Ohio to John "Jack" Bernard and Bessie Elizabeth Moats Stover, who preceded her in death. On December 2, 2001, she married Daniel H. Cope, who died May 28, 2002. She was formerly married to Bill Casey for 32 years. Mrs. Cope worked in housekeeping for an apartment complex. She was an avid bingo player and loved to read and crochet. She was the beloved "mother" of a dog, Taco. She was an avid fan of "Law and Order." Survivors include two sons, George Casey and Sean (Shawn) Casey, both of Lima, Ohio; four daughters, Terry (Eugene) Lamb, Becky (Steve) Garrett, Colleen Miller and Corinne (Billy) Garland, all of Lima, Ohio; three brothers, Robert Thomas, Evan Thomas and William Thomas; four sisters, Evelyn Kohli, Margaret Murphy, Ruth Bassett and Elsie Casey; 17 grandchildren, Sharon, Karena, Jeff, Jason, Taryn, Stephanie, Ashly, Johnny, Billy, Joey, Jesse, Ben, Beth, Matthew, Nicki, Kevin, Brandon; eight great-grandchildren, Michael, Kennedy, Delaney, Addisyn, Jordan, Makaylee, Makenzee, and Hayden; special friends, Dorothy Skinner and Jill Skinner; and several stepchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, John Michael Casey, Richard Eugene Casey and Roger David Casey; a grandson, Austin G. Haver; and a sister, Lois "Tootie" Seimet. Service will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The Rev. Terry Davey will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
