Mary Elizabeth Dawson

Mary Elizabeth Dawson, 77, passed away at 7:10 a.m. on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.

Mary was born on August 5, 1945, in Lima, Ohio, to Charles L. and Ruth B. (Smith) Dawson.

Mary enjoyed watching T.V., embroidery, board games, playing cards, and computer games. She loved spending time with her family and friends, family reunions in the summer at the lake, and visiting with her aunts.

She is survived by her sisters, Martha F. Dawson, and Marna J, Baty; a brother, William (Sheryl) Dawson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles (Florence) Dawson, Robert (Pamela) Dawson, and Richard D. Dawson; and a brother-in-law David Baty.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m to 3 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.  Chaplain Mark Loveley will officiate.
