Mary C. Grothaus, 85 of Corbin, Kentucky died on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at her residence.
Born Wednesday, January 20, 1926 in Ottoville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles Perrin and the late Anna Fletcher Perrin. She was the wife of the late Robert D. Grothaus.
She was employed by Lima City Schools, as cafeteria manager.
Mrs. Grothaus was a member of St. Gerard's Catholic Church, and The Secular Franciscan Order.
Surviving are sons, Robert Duane (Roberta) Grothaus, Jr. of Tiffin, OH, Tom Grothaus of Reno, NV and Jeff (Lola) Grothaus of Fort Wayne, IN, daughters, Kathy (John) Stansberry of Corbin, KY, Pam (Keith) Webb of Lima, OH and Mary Jo Stevens of Corbin, KY, 15 grand children; 10 great grand children.
She was predeceased by three sisters, and six brothers.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, with Father James McDonald officiating. Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be sent to Sacred Heart Church Altar Fund, Corbin, KY.
