Mary Rose Guidera, 89 of Lima, Ohio died on Sunday, October 23, 2011, at Lima Convalescent Home.
Born Thursday, August 24, 1922 in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Guidera and the late Marie Lotta Guidera.
Miss Guidera graduated from St. Gerard High School, Lima, Ohio, in 1941. In 1943 she graduated from Northwestern School of Commerce in accounting. She worked as an Accountant at Buckeye Machine Co. and at Beatrice Foods/Meadow Gold Dairy until 1956. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and former member of its Altar Rosary Society. She was a lifetime member of St. Rita's Auxiliary; member of Daughters of Isabella; Promoter for the Association of the Miraculous Medal. She was a Poll Worker for the Board of Elections. She loved music and in her earlier years played golf and bowled. The family would like to thank Dr. James Bowlus, St. Rita's Hospice and the staff and nurses of Lima Convalescent Home for their compassionate care.
Surviving are sisters, Rose J. Guidera of Lima, OH, Angelene Guidera of Lima, OH and Jane Guidera of Lima, OH., sister-in-law Mary Catherine Guidera of Lima Ohio, five nephews, Joseph Guidera, of Toledo, Ohio, Stan (Robin) Guidera of Perrysburg, Ohio, William (Denise) Guidera of Texas, Paul (Julie) Guidera of Lima, Ohio, Bryan (Kelly) Guidera, of Virginia, Two Nieces, Lucia Guidera of Lima, Ohio, Rita (Tom) Burger of Lima, Ohio. Three great nephews, seven great nieces, three great great nephews and two great great nieces.
She was predeceased by brother, George Guidera, sisters, Maria Guidera, Frances Guidera and Antoinette Guidera.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 AM on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at St. Charles Catholic Church with Father Stephen Blum officiating. Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH.
