Mary Hardesty

MARY C. HARDESTY, 87, died at 5:35 p.m. May 24, 2007, at Vancrest Health Care Center. She was born November 11, 1919, in Allen County, Ohio, to Michael and Mary Valenti Caprella, who preceded her in death. She married Richard Hardesty, who died July 5, 1976. Mrs. Hardesty was a homemaker and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Survivors include three sons, John (Erin) Hardesty, of Delphos, Ohio, Mike (Debra) Williams, of Elida, Ohio, and Rick (Diann) Hardesty, of Toledo, Ohio; a daughter, Mary (Bill) Bible, of Lima, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Angela Bish, Rick Hardesty, Dara Williams, Chris Hardesty, Dena Williams, Emily Hardesty, Alicia Bible, Craig Hardesty and Michelle Bible; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob Bish, Aiden Hardesty and Kylin Kern. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Sam Caprella, John Caprella, Carmen Caprella and Joe Caprella; and two sisters, Virginia Prenezio and Nicolene Ciminello. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Catholic Church. Father David Ritchie will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
