Mary Jane Kromer

Mary Jane Kromer, 91, died at 3:01 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.
Jane was born on Saturday, March 25, 1922, in Delphos, Ohio, to the late Stephen Eickholt and Theresa [Sendelbach] Eickholt. On Saturday, June 30, 1951, she married Gerald C. Kromer. He died on June 12, 1990.
She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society and St. Rita's Alumni Association. A registered nurse, she graduated from St. Rita's School of Nursing, Class of 1943. She was formerly employed at St. Rita's Medical Center and the Lima Convalescent Home. Her nursing skills were lovingly directed towards her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild and her friends. She enjoyed spending time in her garden.
Surviving is a daughter - Mary Ann Kromer, a son -Steve Kromer, and a son -John (Helen) Kromer all of Lima; two grandchildren Zachary (Meghan) Kromer and Theresa Kromer; one great grandchild Penelope Jane Kromer.
She was preceded in death by a brother Gordon Eickholt.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, October 28, 2013 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Lima, Ohio.
A Memorial Mass will then begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 28, 2013 at St. Rose Catholic Church. Father David M. Ross will officiate.
Interment of the ashes will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice.
