Mary Lawrence

Mary I. Lawrence 80, died at 7 p.m. September 12, 2009, at her residence. She was born June 15, 1929, in Rimer, Ohio to Edwin and Naomi Sherry Myers, who preceded her in death. On July 4, 1948, she married Robert Olen Lawrence, who died April 3, 2004. Mrs. Lawrence was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Elida, Ohio, and its Women?s Group and M&M?s Group. She was a volunteer at Channel 44. Survivors include two sons, Gary (Becky) Lawrence, of Newark, Ohio, and Greg Lawrence, of Coldwater, Michigan; four grandchildren, Melinda Lawrence (Chris) Cook, Chris (Shanna) Lawrence, Scott Comisford and Dustin Comisford; three great-grandchildren, Brianna Jo Lawrence, Mariella Cook and Harley Comisford; a sister, Ruth Wassink, of Elida, Ohio; two brothers, Jack (Mary) Myers and Terry (Janet) Myers, both of Elida, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Elida, Ohio. The Rev. Gary Rode will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
